A precision sledgehammer can be used to tinker with this block

Running on MJ, the Planter is placed directly below a 3x3 block area (centered). The blocks above can be either dirt (for most plants) or soul sand (to farm Nether Wart). It has sixteen (16) inventory slots to hold seeds, saplings, sugar cane, carrots, potatoes, nether wart, or cactus. There are an additional nine (9) slots that correspond to the block or blocks it will plant on, so the top-left will plant the NW corner of the plot. The color of each of these slots corresponds with the colors on the top of the Planter. It will only place Sugar Cane and Cactus in places that a player would be able to place them. However Sugar Cane will not be cut all the way by the harvester so it is fine not to re-plant Sugar Cane. It does not require dirt blocks be tilled and does not require water nearby to plant seeds (though seeds will still require water to grow faster, so it is a good idea to have at least one block within four blocks of the planter area or to wait on rain).
