MineFactory Reloaded or MFR, for short, is a mod that pre-dates a lot of other Minecraft mods. The original MineFactory was created by Feanorith for MC 1.3 beta. It was renamed to MineFactory Reloaded when Power Crystals took over around the 1.6 beta. It was also included in Tekkit Classic for a short while. The aim of MineFactory Reloaded is to replace a large number of tasks that would previously have been difficult, boring, or work-intensive. These include: plant farming, animal farming and block/item processing.
Later on (after it started getting maintained by Power Crystals again), MFR began broadening its feature set. It now includes a redstone network and logic system (similar to RedPower 2's), new machines, more uses for already existent machines, and a variety of decorative blocks.
All MineFactory Reloaded machines that have power draws can have their energy requirements changed in the configuration file.
Machines that drop items (such as the Harvester or Block Breaker) will attempt to drop them into connected pipes, then adjacent inventories such as chests, then on the ground, in that order of priority.
MineFactory Reloaded machines can be deactivated with a redstone signal. (Except the LiquiCrafter, which requires redstone pulses to operate.)
MineFactory Reloaded adds the following to world generation:
- A house for the zoologist villager
- Sludge and sewage lakes
- Rubber trees
The lakes can be disabled in config, and the rubber trees can be disabled or their valid biomes altered.
