From Technic Wiki
The BioReactor produces liquid BioFuel from various organic items, including saplings and seeds.
There are 10 slots: 9 for the inventory queue and 1 for the processing queue. Items are quickly turned into fuel at about 2 items/tick. There are 3 information bars in the machine: (1) A tank for processed BioFuel, (2) an efficiency gauge, and (3) a buffer bar (possibly a 'currently-processing-into-fuel' indicator?).
Efficiency depends on how many different items the reactor can convert to BioFuel at the same time (more items = more efficient). The efficiency bonus is determined as follows:
(10 * <Num Different Items> * (<Num Different Items> + 7));
5 * (<Num Different Items>^3 / 3 + <Num Different Items>^2 / 2 + <Num Different Items> / 6)
|Efficiency (outdated)||mB Biofuel per Item (outdated)||Efficiency||mB Biofuel per Item|
Waterproof pipes, Liquiducts, or placing the BioFuel Generator next to the reactor will transport the liquid, or it can be stored in Tanks for later use. If sent to the BioFuel Generator, the fuel will be burned to produce MineCraft Joules (MJ).
Note: not all 'organic' items will work in the BioReactor.
Items that will work include
- Saplings (various varieties)
- Dyes (Bone Meal, cactus green and other dyes)
- Nether Wart
- Seeds (Wheat, Pumpkin, Melon, Flax)
Items that will not work include Wheat, Sugar Cane, Flowers, and Apples.
The following raw materials are required to build the BioReactor:
- 2 Slimeball
- 2 Clay
- 2 Sugar
- Spider Eye
- Brown Mushroom (note Red Mushroom will NOT work)
- 8 Raw Rubber
- 4 Iron Ingot
- 4 Glass
- Gold Ingot
